Hank Mei, AIA is the founder and principal of ARCHMEI STUDIO. Born in Taiwan and trained as an architect in the United States, Hank brings a multicultural perspective and a deep belief in architecture’s ability to shape how people live, feel, and connect with the world around them.

With over a decade of experience, he has worked at several award-winning architecture firms across San Francisco, New York, and Taipei, contributing to a wide range of projects—from high-end custom homes and boutique hospitality to wineries, residential towers, and commercial high-rises. His work spans diverse scales and building types, giving him a refined, versatile design sensibility.

Clients value Hank’s ability to balance creative vision with technical precision, guiding projects through a collaborative and thoughtful process. He is a licensed architect in California and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Hank founded ARCHMEI STUDIO to create architecture through close collaboration—with clients, consultants, and communities—grounded in the idea that beauty is not just a visual outcome, but a product of care, craft, and shared vision. For him, every project is an opportunity to listen closely, design purposefully, and build something lasting and meaningful.
